Legal Services Manager

Duties and Responsibilities 

Render legal opinions to the organisation and advise on changes occurring in legal fraternity

Manage and negotiate contracts for the organisation

Review legal policies in line with developments affecting Banking business within the legal system

Engage external attorneys and give instruction on how to handle claims against the organisation

Recommend terms of reference of the Board Committees

Assist in the assessment of debts to be handed over for recovery by external attorneys and those to be recovered internally

Draft court papers on debt collections by the organisation against third parties.

Qualifications and Attributes

Bachelor of Law Honours Degree

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Corporate Law environment

High level of confidentiality

Good attention to detail

Good interpersonal and communication skills
