Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the position of Branch Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare the annual business plan for approval by the Head of Banking to ensure incorporation into corporate strategy.
- Setting performance targets for individual branch staff to meet the approved targets and ensure understanding by all staff members.
- Preparing the branch capital, revenue and expenditure budgets in line with the divisional operational strategy.
- Control branch expenditure to optimize profitability
- Mobilize deposits as per budget for revenue generation purposes and ultimately growth of the business
- Develop training plans for the branch for approval to ensure all departmental staff are well capacitated to perform accordingly at any given period
- Manage and control all branch assets and ensure that they are operating efficiently through enforcing proper handling and use of all assets as per policy
- Check and ensure that branch staff are complying with financial and non-financial policy and procedures
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in Banking/Finance/Management/Business/Accounting or relevant.
- IOBZ Diploma/ Micro finance Certificate
- Professional Qualification like CIS, CIMA, ACCA will be an added advantage
- At least 5- 7 years relevant banking experience with at 3 years at supervisory level
