Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the position of Branch Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Prepare the annual business plan for approval by the Head of Banking to ensure incorporation into corporate strategy.
  2. Setting performance targets for individual branch staff to meet the approved targets and ensure understanding by all staff members.
  3. Preparing the branch capital, revenue and expenditure budgets in line with the divisional operational strategy.
  4. Control branch expenditure to optimize profitability
  5. Mobilize deposits as per budget for revenue generation purposes and ultimately growth of the business
  6. Develop training plans for the branch for approval to ensure all departmental staff are well capacitated to perform accordingly at any given period
  7. Manage and control all branch assets and ensure that they are operating efficiently through enforcing proper handling and use of all assets as per policy
  8. Check and ensure that branch staff are complying with financial and non-financial policy and procedures

Qualifications and Skills

  1. Degree in Banking/Finance/Management/Business/Accounting or relevant.
  2. IOBZ Diploma/ Micro finance Certificate
  3. Professional Qualification like CIS, CIMA, ACCA will be an added advantage
  4. At least 5- 7 years relevant banking experience with at 3 years at supervisory level
