<h4 class="ql-align-justify">Duties and Responsibilities</h4> <ul><li>Develop pension fund policies, strategies, and objectives aligned with the Organisation’s HR and financial goals.</li><li>&nbsp;Serve as a principal advisor to the Board of Trustees and senior HR leadership on pension fund matters.</li><li>Ensure strong governance in line with best practices, fund rules, and regulations under the Pension and Provident Funds Act.</li><li>Manage the pension fund’s investment strategy to maximize returns within acceptable risk parameters.</li><li>Monitor and review investment performance, asset allocation, and economic trends with reporting to stakeholders.</li><li>Coordinate with external investment managers, actuaries, and financial advisors.</li><li>Ensure the pension fund complies with all relevant legal, regulatory, and reporting requirements, including those of the Insurance &amp; Pensions Commission (IPEC).</li><li>Implement effective risk management frameworks to safeguard fund assets and benefits.</li><li>Oversee day-to-day pension fund administration, including member records, contributions, benefit payments, and reconciliations.</li><li>Manage the coordination of trustees’ meetings and preparation of documentation for decision-making.</li><li>Ensure accurate and timely pension payrolls and actuarial data preparation.</li><li>Act as the key contact for pensioners, participating members, HR colleagues, trustees, and administrators regarding fund matters.</li><li>Prepare and present regular reports on fund performance, compliance status, and strategic initiatives to management and governance bodies.</li><li>Supervise and mentor pension support staff or specialists involved in fund administration.</li><li>Collaborate across HR and finance functions to integrate pension considerations into HR strategies and total reward frameworks.</li></ul> <h4>Qualifications and Experience</h4> The ideal candidate should have:<ul><li>Bachelor’s&nbsp;&nbsp;degree&nbsp;&nbsp;in&nbsp;&nbsp;Finance,&nbsp;&nbsp;Accounting,&nbsp;&nbsp;Economics,&nbsp;&nbsp;Human Resources, or a related field.</li><li>&nbsp;Professional qualifications such as CFA, CIPD, or actuarial/pension trusteeship certification is an advantage.</li><li>5&nbsp;&nbsp;years’&nbsp;experience&nbsp;&nbsp;in&nbsp;&nbsp;pension&nbsp;fund&nbsp;management&nbsp;&nbsp;or&nbsp;&nbsp;related financial/investment roles.</li></ul>
