Duties and Responsibilities <ul><li>&nbsp;Directly responsible for the coordination and supervision of all boiler operations and activities.</li><li>Checks daily logs to determine proper operation of equipment.</li><li>Prepares daily and monthly reports of boiler resources usage and efficiencies.</li><li>&nbsp;Makes estimates of labor and or materials required for production and maintenance.</li><li>Directly responsible for critical spares and raising requisitions.&nbsp;</li><li>Identifies staff development and recommends training needs.</li><li>Ensures compliance to company and government regulating policies and procedures.</li><li>&nbsp;Ensures a safe and healthy working environment at all times.</li><li>Knowledge of boiler plant and auxiliary systems operations.</li><li>Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems in steam distribution systems.</li></ul>Qualifications and Experience <ul><li>&nbsp;Five ‘O’ level passes including Mathematics and English at Grade B or better.</li><li>&nbsp;Apprenticeship trained class 1.</li><li>Technical training in Steam Generation and Distribution required. (Boiler Operator Certificate)</li><li>At least 5 years’ practical relevant experience in steam generation</li><li>&nbsp;&nbsp;A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory position.&nbsp;</li></ul>
