Data Analyst

Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Mines data from primary or secondary data sources, maintain databases/data systems and reorganizing said data in a format that can be easily read by either human or machine.
• Provides quality assurance of imported data, working with quality assurance analysts where necessary.
• Uses statistical tools to interpret data sets, pays particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts.
• Demonstrates the significance of their work in the context of local, national, and global trends that impact both the company and i
• Processes confidential data and information according to guidelines and standards such as PCI DSS.
• Helps develop reports and analysis to relevant departments for decision making based on trends, patterns, and predictions
• Collaborates with programmers, engineers, and organizational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend system modifications, and develops policies for data governance.
• Manages and designs the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
• Creates appropriate documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis process and duplicate or replicate the analysis if necessary
• Supports the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
• Assesses tests and implement new or upgraded software and assist with strategic decisions on new systems.
• Trains end-users on new reports and dashboards.
• Works with management to prioritize business and information needs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics / Mathematics / IT/ Operations Research.
