KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Perform risk and control assessments of areas under audit consideration. Provide recommendations for problem resolution.

2. Develop, coordinate, and execute audit programs and procedures to effectively address risks, controls, and governance issues identified.

3. Evaluate controls and/or audit procedures. Identify opportunities for improvement on the operational processes and business cycles audited.

4. Obtain, analyze, and appraise evidential data as a basis for creating an informed, objective opinion on the adequacy and effectiveness of the processes being reviewed.

5. Prepare audit reports and communicate results to the appropriate parties, which may include executive and senior management.

6. Follow up on remediation of the findings with management and ensure all outstanding audit issues are closed effectively and timely.

7. Support control design assessments to ensure key controls are designed and operating effectively.

8. Assist in research and analysis of technical and best-practice standards.

9. Perform special project work as requested.

10. Engage to continuous knowledge development regarding sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards


QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

2. Professional Qualification or working towards achieving a professional qualification (ACCA

3. A minimum of three (3) years of audit, internal controls, or internal audit experience.

4. Understanding of internal controls, audit methodology, audit procedures, audit sampling techniques, and IIA auditing standards.
