Duties and Responsibilities


  • Develops and implements risk policies and procedures that align with the organization’s goals and objectives
  • Develops and updates checklists & registers to identify, measure, monitor and control risk exposures.
  • Consult with relevant departments to determine, quantify, and mitigate risks .
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management strategies adopted by various departments and making recommendations thereon.
  • Responsible for assessing metrics monitoring and reporting on the risk exposure and performance of the organization
  • Proactively seek and recommend enhancements to processes and internal control systems.
  • Monitors and identifies risks that affect TIMB reputation, goals and objectives and recommending risk reduction strategies
  • Carries out dip stick assessments in all departments in preparation for Audit/ Regulatory inspections
  • Analyses internal audit, fraud & loss reports and incident reports to establish trends and recommend initiatives to mitigate risks identified.
  • Compiles risk reports on both internal and external developments and submits to the CEO.
  • Leads risk management processes involved in the development of new products and services, systems and processes.
  • Updates and consolidates the risk register / database and shares with management.
  • Investigates root causes of operational risk and provide support to mitigate risk.
  • Follow up on all issues raised by both internal and external auditors and ensure timely closure.
  • Develops initiatives that foster capacity building of Management and the Board on Enterprise Risk Management.


Qualifications & Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management/ Risk Management & Insurance.
  • Certification to a professional body on risk management is an added advantage.
  • Must be a member of a professional body.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
