Finance Intern

Duties and Responsibilities

• Adherence to internal control procedures.
• Accurate processing of financial transactions into various business systems.
•  Knowledge of the full cashbook function.
•  Maintenance and reconciliation of the fixed assets register, including cyclical physical verification.
• Assistance with the preparation of general ledger reconciliations.
•  Assistance with the completion of monthly financial reports.
•  Assistance with the compilation of budgets and rolling forecasts
• Assisting the Finance and Strategy Manager with producing accurate and timely management reports.
• Any other Ad Hoc duties delegated by the Finance and Strategy Manager.
• Reconciliation and submission of monthly statutory returns.

Academic Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor in Accounting degree. An internship Letter from the University Department confirming the candidate is due for Work Related Learning is needed.
• Basic computer literacy – MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
• Knowledge of transaction cycles especially GL entries.
