Main Duties:

  • Controls the procurement process in accordance with the company’s procurement policy and procedures.
  • Identifies reliable sources of supply capable of rendering quality at time and place required.
  • Manages all importation modalities of foreign supplies to the organisation and also exports to the region ensuring that the clearing is done efficiently all the time.
  • Sets up economic order quantities and reorder levels to ensure efficiency.
  • Develops alternate sources of supply when the competition is not present.
  • Designs and issues the proper form of contract for different goods or services.
  • Develops and provides suppliers with appropriate materials specifications to ensure that there are no ‘out of specification’ materials rejections.
  • Prepares and issues requests for quotations or requests for bids documents.
  • Develops and maintains a supplier’s list.
  • Controls all correspondence with suppliers including potential suppliers.
  • Evaluate bids.


  • Degree in Procurement or Supply Chain Management
  • A Professional qualification like CIPS or any other relevant course
  • Master’s Degree will be an added advantage
  • At least five years at a managerial position in Procurement and sourcing environment
