Procurement Manager

<p>Main Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Controls the procurement process in accordance with the company&rsquo;s procurement policy and procedures.</li> <li>Identifies reliable sources of supply capable of rendering quality at time and place required.</li> <li>Manages all importation modalities of foreign supplies to the organisation and also exports to the region ensuring that the clearing is done efficiently all the time.</li> <li>Sets up economic order quantities and reorder levels to ensure efficiency.</li> <li>Develops alternate sources of supply when the competition is not present.</li> <li>Designs and issues the proper form of contract for different goods or services.</li> <li>Develops and provides suppliers with appropriate materials specifications to ensure that there are no &lsquo;out of specification&rsquo; materials rejections.</li> <li>Prepares and issues requests for quotations or requests for bids documents.</li> <li>Develops and maintains a supplier&rsquo;s list.</li> <li>Controls all correspondence with suppliers including potential suppliers.</li> <li>Evaluate bids.</li> </ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Degree in Procurement or Supply Chain Management</li> <li>A Professional qualification like CIPS or any other relevant course</li> <li>Master&rsquo;s Degree will be an added advantage</li> <li>At least five years at a managerial position in Procurement and sourcing environment</li> </ul>
