Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares and controls the Technical Services department budget.
- Formulates technical systems for infrastructural designs or modifications and the preparation of tenders thereof.
- Approves all technical material procurement and payments for materials and services.
- Draws up terms of reference for provision of services to external clients and facilitates signing of contracts as and when necessary.
- Organizes and monitors implementation of approved projects for the organisation through checking progress and quality of workmanship on an ongoing basis.
- Liaises with procurement department in the procurement of Engineering materials as and when necessary.
- Commissions plants, equipment and new buildings to users in the organisation on completion.
- Sets performance standards for the maintenance and implementation of company projects monthly.
- Prepares accurate and timeous departmental reports on a daily, weekly, monthly basis
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in a similar position
