Operations Director

<p>Main Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Promotes the interests and image of the Board.</li> <li>Keeps the Chief Executive Officer timeously and fully informed of conduct of the business and affairs of the Operations Division.</li> <li>Ensures the implementation of provisions of Grain Marketing Act [Chapter 18:14]<strong> </strong>pertaining to operations of the Grain Marketing Board.</li> <li>Formulates creative solutions to enhance cost effectiveness and efficiency in the delivery of service to the Grain Marketing Board by the Operations Division.</li> <li>Ensures efficient management of the Strategic Grain Reserve.</li> <li>Provides leadership to all Regional Managers in line with GMB Policies and Procedure Manuals.</li> <li>Designs sound Divisional strategies and operational policies together with ensuring implementation thereof.</li> <li>Develops quality standards for Board commodities.</li> <li>Discharges service to clients through the Board&rsquo;s depots in the most efficient and economical manner and in accordance with laid down standards and procedures.</li> <li>Coordinates importation of grains and ensuring adherence to the distribution plan/schedule.</li> <li>Prepares grains and inputs handling plans.</li> <li>Performing any other work related duties as assigned by the Superior.</li> </ul> <p>Qualifications and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Degree in Business Management/Marketing/Agriculture/Economics or equivalent.</li> <li>Master&rsquo;s in Business Administration/Leadership</li> <li>At least 10 years at managerial position.</li> </ul>
