Main Duties: To negotiate and develop construction contracts with contractors on behalf of the Authority. Oversee the development of strategies for the effective and equitable utilisation of water resources in Zimbabwe. Ensure that the Authority's infrastructure conforms to international standards. Monitor progress, provide financial control, and ensure quality control for construction projects. Oversee the implementation of national water resources management strategies in liaison with Catchment Councils. Interact with Government Ministries & Departments and regulatory agencies as required to ensure that projects comply with all applicable legal requirements and regulations Coordinate the production of catchment outline plans. Oversee the Authority’s hydrological services and maintenance of hydrological infrastructure and equipment. Advise on policies for the water sector. Oversee the Authority’s Engineering Consultant services to clients. Ensure groundwater resources are developed and managed in accordance with the relevant Government standards, procedures, policies, and legislation. Ensure the efficient management of the Authority’s borehole drilling services. Qualifications: Must be a holder of a Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent. Master of Science in Engineering or MBA or MBL is an added advantage. At least 10 years’ experience in the Engineering field at a Senior Management level. Must be a registered member of Zimbabwe Institute of Engineers.
