Logistics Manager

<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities </strong></p> <ul> <li>Efficiently managing all costs of transportation, services and inventory transportation within the approved distribution strategy.</li> <li>Managing technical details relating to possibly international transportation, such as customs regulations and any necessary documentation.</li> <li>Developing and leading Sales and Operations Planning (S&amp;OP) process</li> <li>Ensuring company compliance with laws and regulations regarding transportation, including hazardous materials.</li> <li>Resolving any legal issues pertaining to transportation/distribution.</li> <li>Ensuring the Logistics Department complies with ISO 9002 requirements</li> <li>Planning routes and load scheduling for all transportation activities for the Organization.</li> <li>Allocating and recording resources and movements on the transport planning system.</li> <li>Ensuring all partners in the supply chain are working effectively and efficiently to ensure smooth operations.</li> <li>Overseeing all planned maintenance of vehicles.</li> <li>Recruiting third party sub-contractors and ensuring that they deliver within agreed terms.</li> <li>Performing related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications and Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>A Degree in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain Management </li> <li>Experience in a senior role in Transport, Logistics or related.</li> <li>A Master&rsquo;s Degree in Business or Transportation/Logistics Management will be an added advantage.</li> <li>Clean class 4 drivers licence</li> </ul>
