Job Summary: We are looking for a dynamic, strategic thinker and experienced business executive to: Drive growth of the existing business portfolio, Agri equipment products; Drive growth through unlocking new strategic opportunities identified by the company in the Agri Commodities value chain, including but not limited to agri processing, storage of agri products (cold storage and bulk grain storage) and agri commodity marketing. Enhance existing systems and processes to ensure the Company operates in an efficient and effective environment that delivers sustainable stellar business performance. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Development Develop and implement strategic business plans, policies and operating guidelines designed to achieve the vision and mission of the Company; Build a senior management team that can support and deliver on the growth aspirations of the Company; Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure survival and growth of the Company; Provide leadership that creates a unifying culture in the whole organization ensuring all the Company’s branches deliver high quality customer service that is consistent across the entire branch network. Business Development Maintain deep knowledge of the markets and industry of the Company, ensuring the Company identifies, targets and secures business from existing and new customer groups through on-going product improvement, development of new products, proposing acquisitions and expansion to regional and international markets; Build strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders and foster a collaborative approach to development of products / solutions for the market; Leverage on the group relationships to create competitive advantage over market players who may not have the benefit of such group structures. Operations, Risk Management and Reporting Translate the Company’s annual business plans and objectives into integrated company-wide resource requirement plans across all business units; Review financial and non-financial reports to devise solutions or improvements, ensuring the Company complies with internal policies, systems, standards as well as regulatory requirements; Build a culture that utilizes data and analytics to support strategic decisions, planning and budgeting; Ensure the Board is kept informed of existing and potential risks to the business and that mitigating plans are in place to monitor and manage the same. Qualifications and Attributes: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in business related area; Minimum 7 years of working experience in a senior management position in the Agricultural sector or related sector. Strong commercial awareness, supported by proven track record of success in building and leading profitable consumer facing businesses ideally in agri-business, processing and production and or farm equipment dealership. Experience leading mid to large sized companies with responsibility for P&L, ideally with both domestic and international businesses; A business and entrepreneurial mindset, operationally focused with the ability to be handson, working comfortably at all levels of the company; Excellent communication and networking skills a must; A strong motivator, coach, mentor and leader focused on developing the next level leadership; High level of cultural competency, leading to the ability to interact, work and develop meaningful relationships with stakeholders of various cultural backgrounds.
