Main Duties: Maintain the fixed assets registers, calculate depreciation and post into the general ledger. Preparation of asset movement tracking schedule weekly and circulate to Management team. Managing compliance with the relevant policies and procedures in Fixed Assets and General Ledger. Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recording of fixed assets. Record fixed assets acquisition, disposals and run depreciation for all fixed assets. Conduct periodic reviews for impairment and disposal. Track the compilation of project costs into WIP accounts and close out those accounts once the related projects have been completed. Determine capex versus revex items. Plan and execute quarterly fixed assets counts and reconciliation to the fixed assets register. Reconcile fixed assets, WIP and Depreciation subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger. Prepare capital expenditure budget versus actuals by function and circulate to respective budget holders. Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets and assist with auditors in their inquiries. Monthly deferred tax computation. Assist with the preparation of monthly shareholder reporting. HFM monthly uploads. Assist with the review of payments. Any other duties as delegated by the Financial Controller. As part of SHEQ responsibilities you shall: Use PPE correctly and consistently Conduct Risk Assessments in your working area. Participate in HSSEQ meetings (weekly and monthly) Report all incidents and accidents and participate in investigations. Maintain good housekeeping in your working areas Qualifications: Accounting degree or Professional Qualification (ACCA, CIMA) At least 1-year post qualification experience
