Duties & Responsibilities Develop and implement a fundraising strategy, which inter alia include the development of grant proposals and project proposals; Administer and account for all the Organization’s financial resources, human resources and assets; Formulate, implement and manage the Organization’s budget; Secure and administer funds for agricultural production and marketing delivery services to strengthen the company’s balance sheet and financial self-sustainability; Broaden the revenue streams for the company fund and operational budget; Establish and administer effective accounting and control systems that avail monthly, quarterly and annual reports and information for sound decision making; Accommodate the company’s staff and assets in conducive office environment accessible by clients and stakeholders; Employ and maintain a staff complement that executes the company’s mandate and service delivery effectively; and Undertake any other assignments assigned by the Chief Executive Officer. Qualifications & Experience Hold at least a Master’s or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or CA; preferably Chartered Accountant. At least 10 years of accounting/finance experience preferably in an NGO environment; Proven skills in senior leadership management; Strong analytical and problem - solving skills; Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the institution; Highly detailed-oriented and ability to reflect on one's own work as well as the wider consequences of financial decisions; Competence in the use of standard Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint); as well as modern accounting information systems.
