Research & Development Chemist

<p>Main Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Research, develop and launch new products and or services as per ongoing business targets and green revolution for all crop and animal heath solutions.</li> <li>Registration of new products or formulations.</li> <li>Protection of IP/ Custodian of Agri inputs IP</li> <li>Champion the registration of off patent products for production locally</li> <li>Liaise with marketing for customer feedback and utilization in products improvement</li> <li>Develop, improve, or customize products, equipment, formulas, processes, or analytical methods.</li> <li>Lead in product ideas, formulation proposals technical papers preparation, standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, or tests.</li> <li>Compile and analyse test information to determine process or equipment operating efficiency or to diagnose malfunctions.</li> <li>Ensure all new products or services are 100% compliant with regulatory and safety requirements.</li> <li>Conduct investigations of ingredient sourcing regarding publications and data on performances, claims, and toxicological safety.</li> <li>Create and maintain all documentation required and necessary to develop and commercialize the products.</li> <li>Lead with testing routine and non-routine samples as needed in both internal Quality Control &amp; Outsourced contract laboratories.</li> <li>Participate in all stability new product stability programmes and create R&amp;D specifications for raw materials and finished products.</li> <li>Evaluate new testing applications and instrumentation which must be at the least accurate, precise, and robust for daily use on specific samples y QC.</li> <li>Assist laboratory staff in resolving Out of Specification (OOS) results in the analytical laboratory. </li> <li>Training new laboratory personnel in accordance with established SOPs.</li> <li>Adhere to Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) documentation, USP, FDA and other pertinent regulating bodies guidelines.</li> <li>Maintain a safe working environment and will ensure that all equipment used in the testing procedures is always calibrated and properly maintained.</li> <li>Execute all assigned business projects within scope, costs, and timelines.</li> <li>Adhoc and planned reporting for all research &amp; development activities.</li> </ul> <p>Qualifications: </p> <ul> <li>Minimum Degree in Chemistry or related.</li> <li>Minimum 2 - 3 years experience in a similar or related environment</li> <li>Must be innovation-driven, be curious about new technologies and science actuality, and love to think out of the box regarding established concepts</li> <li>Ability to develop products from idea to market realization.</li> <li>Data collection and analysis</li> <li>Agile &amp; resilient individual</li> <li>Demonstrated project management skills &amp; familiarity with product development cycle.</li> <li>Operation of laboratory instrumentation, troubleshooting, and the generation and revision of SOPs and test methods.</li> <li>Method development and validation experience is a requirement for this position.</li> <li>Proficiency in ERP &amp; MS Packages is a must.</li> <li>Demonstrated analytical &amp; problem-solving capabilities.</li> <li>Valid Passport &amp; Clean Class 4 Drivers License.</li> </ul>
