Registration of new products or formulations.
Protection of IP/ Custodian of Agri inputs IP
Champion the registration of off patent products for production locally
Liaise with marketing for customer feedback and utilization in products improvement
Develop, improve, or customize products, equipment, formulas, processes, or analytical methods.
Lead in product ideas, formulation proposals technical papers preparation, standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, or tests.
Compile and analyse test information to determine process or equipment operating efficiency or to diagnose malfunctions.
Ensure all new products or services are 100% compliant with regulatory and safety requirements.
Conduct investigations of ingredient sourcing regarding publications and data on performances, claims, and toxicological safety.
Create and maintain all documentation required and necessary to develop and commercialize the products.
Lead with testing routine and non-routine samples as needed in both internal Quality Control & Outsourced contract laboratories.
Participate in all stability new product stability programmes and create R&D specifications for raw materials and finished products.
Evaluate new testing applications and instrumentation which must be at the least accurate, precise, and robust for daily use on specific samples y QC.
Assist laboratory staff in resolving Out of Specification (OOS) results in the analytical laboratory.
Training new laboratory personnel in accordance with established SOPs.
Adhere to Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) documentation, USP, FDA and other pertinent regulating bodies guidelines.
Maintain a safe working environment and will ensure that all equipment used in the testing procedures is always calibrated and properly maintained.
Execute all assigned business projects within scope, costs, and timelines.
Adhoc and planned reporting for all research & development activities.
Qualifications:
Minimum Degree in Chemistry or related.
Minimum 2 - 3 years experience in a similar or related environment
Must be innovation-driven, be curious about new technologies and science actuality, and love to think out of the box regarding established concepts
Ability to develop products from idea to market realization.
Data collection and analysis
Agile & resilient individual
Demonstrated project management skills & familiarity with product development cycle.
Operation of laboratory instrumentation, troubleshooting, and the generation and revision of SOPs and test methods.
Method development and validation experience is a requirement for this position.
Proficiency in ERP & MS Packages is a must.
Demonstrated analytical & problem-solving capabilities.
Valid Passport & Clean Class 4 Drivers License.
