Looking for someone who is eager to learn, has great research skills and in need of acquiring on the job experience of managerial accounting tasks and intends to pursue a professional course through ACCA or CIMA in the near future.
Main Duties
- Adherence to internal control procedures
- Accurate processing of financial transactions into various business systems
- Knowledge of the full cashbook function
- Maintenance and reconciliation of the fixed assets register, including cyclical physical verification
- Assistance with preparation of general ledger reconciliations
- Assistance with completion of monthly financial reports
- Assistance with compilation of budgets and rolling forecasts
- Assisting the Finance and Strategy Manager with the production of accurate and timeous management reports
- Any other Ad Hoc duties delegated by the Finance and Strategy Manager
- Reconciliation and submitting of monthly statutory returns
Qualification
- Bachelors in Accounting degree class 2.1 or better
- No work experience required
- Advanced computer literacy – MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of transaction cycles especially GL entries
