Proactively take initiative to drive the delivery of strategic projects, including preparing Finance projects plans, delivery methodology, critical paths analysis, using financial comparatives and financial ratios analysis.
Proactively highlight projects pitfalls and carry out project audits to ensure strategic projects stay on course.
Structuring transactions, developing and negotiating term sheets to execution
Support in preparing financing requirements presentations to financing institutions or counterparties
Providing financial reports and interpret financial information to management while recommending further courses of action
Create, update and keep up to date Projects & Structured Trade Finance process and procedures.
Active participation to lesson learn sessions.
Any other duties as may be assigned by senior management.
Qualifications:
Degree in Banking and Finance
Post graduate degree in Business Administration, Banking or Finance from a recognized University or a professional qualification in Banking or International Trade Finance
At least 10years proven experience in trade finance and project finance.
The candidate must demonstrate experience and knowledge of designing structured trade finance. Can design and execute all aspects of a transaction lifecycle from complex modelling to non-numerical one (due diligence review, documentation, report writing, contract review, presenting to the Board, and investor-facing roles).
Ability to communicate and function in a culturally diverse and change oriented setting and therefore knowledge of the workings of the main segments of the trade finance markets and the participants in major regions of Africa.
Ability to meet senior officials of banks, corporates and government
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including ability to work collaboratively to attain goals
