Industrial Psychology Consultants (Pvt) Ltd has been contracted by Air Zimbabwe to assist with the recruitment and selection of a suitable candidate for the position below:

Manager Marketing & Ground Operations

Job Purpose

Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote the Airlines’ schedule integrity, customer satisfaction and constant review of route performance against set targets and addressing deviations accordingly.

Main Duties:

•Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products in analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends.

•Coordinate and participate in promotional activities and trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, and production managers, to market products and services.

•Develop pricing strategies, balancing the Airlines objectives and customer satisfaction.

•Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy, based on requirements within the Airlines’ objectives and characteristics for future scope and the success of the organization.

•Develop required marketing policy for the expansion of the market share for the organization.

•Develop, maintenance and updating of company policies regarding the ground operations, passenger handling and company contracts with service providers.

•Ensure operational activities are conducted in accordance with the provisions and requirements of the Authority, laws of the country, Air Zimbabwe requirements, best industry practice and any authorities where operations are conducted

•Ensure availability of adequate facilities, tools and equipment to perform the planned tasks.

Qualifications and Experience

•A Marketing or Business Administration degree from a recognised University;

•A relevant Master’s degree from a recognised University is an added advantage;

•Minimum 5 years of experience of which 3 years must have been at management level.
