Collaborates with the Board to define and articulate the Institute’s vision and develop strategies for achieving that vision.
Promotes a culture that reflects the Institute’s values, encourages good performance and rewards productivity.
Develops and monitors strategies for ensuring the long term financial viability of the Institute.
Develops strategies with the Board that encourage internal audit practitioners to take up membership in the Institute.
Compiles annual budgets for board approval.
Maintain prudent financial management strategies to ensure that the Institute remains viable.
Prudently manages the Institute’s resources within budget guidelines according to current laws and guidelines.
Ensures that Institute’s management and year-end accounts are prepared on a timely basis.
Recruits and develops resources to implement the approved strategy.
Maintains the performance management system.
Maintains a good industrial relations climate.
Manage employee development and training.
Oversees fundraising planning and implementation, including identifying resource requirements, researching funding sources, establishing strategies to approach funders, submitting proposals and administrating fundraising records and documentation.
Oversees all the operations of the Institute.
Plans, promotes and hosts successful conferences, Continual Professional Education and other events that develop members.
Develops and maintains procedures for implementing plans approved by the Board.
Oversees the external audit process.
Prepares the Annual Report and Annual General Meeting packs for Board approval.
Qualifications:
Relevant Business related degree
MBA or related Masters Degree
At least 3 years experience in administration of membership organization at senior level
