Group Technical Manager (Grade 1)

<p>Reporting to the Group Finance Executive, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:</p> <ul> <li>Preparation of Group Annual Report and Abridged Financial Statements.</li> <li>Preparation of Group Budget analysis.</li> <li>Preparation of quarterly Finance reports.</li> <li>Monitoring and reviewing of SBU report.</li> <li>Hands-on technical support to SBUs in the finalization of financial statements and reports in line with Group standards.</li> <li>Championing implementation of new reporting standards.</li> <li>Preparation of Group technical papers and assisting SBUs on customisation.</li> <li>Reviewing audit files and considering issues raised in External audit reports.</li> <li>Assisting SBUs in resolving recurring technical issues.</li> <li>Preparing for review group shared service policy/framework.</li> <li>Assisting in the coordination of the external audit process.</li> <li>Assisting TOPP students in meeting required competencies.</li> </ul> <p><strong>The Person </strong></p> <p>The ideal candidate must possess the following:</p> <ul> <li>Must be a recently qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent professional qualification.</li> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting/Finance or related.</li> <li>Top 10 position in CTA and/or ITC an added advantage.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Other Requirements </strong></p> <ul> <li>Analytical, confident, with a ability for questioning convention</li> <li>Refined appreciation of IFRS and other impending accounting and reporting standards.</li> <li>Experience working in financial services.</li> <li>Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to concisely articulate recommendations.</li> <li>Able to handle multiple tasks and maintain control and order over same.</li> <li>Ability to work accurately under pressure and with minimal supervision.</li> </ul>
