Reporting to the Group Finance Executive, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Preparation of Group Annual Report and Abridged Financial Statements.
- Preparation of Group Budget analysis.
- Preparation of quarterly Finance reports.
- Monitoring and reviewing of SBU report.
- Hands-on technical support to SBUs in the finalization of financial statements and reports in line with Group standards.
- Championing implementation of new reporting standards.
- Preparation of Group technical papers and assisting SBUs on customisation.
- Reviewing audit files and considering issues raised in External audit reports.
- Assisting SBUs in resolving recurring technical issues.
- Preparing for review group shared service policy/framework.
- Assisting in the coordination of the external audit process.
- Assisting TOPP students in meeting required competencies.
The Person
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
- Must be a recently qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent professional qualification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related.
- Top 10 position in CTA and/or ITC an added advantage.
Other Requirements
- Analytical, confident, with a ability for questioning convention
- Refined appreciation of IFRS and other impending accounting and reporting standards.
- Experience working in financial services.
- Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to concisely articulate recommendations.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and maintain control and order over same.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and with minimal supervision.
