Chief Operations Officer

<p><strong>Duties</strong></p> <ul> <li>Be the overall accountable executive for all company activities</li> <li>Ensures adequacy of resources</li> <li>Ensures commitment to the company vision and mission</li> <li>Sets SMART objectives and achieves them</li> <li>Accountable for effectiveness of organisational systems (SMS, QMS, FMS etc)</li> <li>Ensures organisation systems are compatible with the strategic direction</li> <li>Understands the needs and expectations of stakeholders</li> <li>Ensures company systems achieve intended results</li> <li>Engages and manages persons or organisations who contribute to the effectiveness of the organisation on the basis of knowledge, skills, training and experience appropriate for the position</li> <li>Ensures adequate, continued competence and fitness of critical personnel</li> <li>Maintains awareness of industry changes and accounts for risk and opportunities</li> <li>Manages changes in the organisation</li> <li>Chairs management review meetings</li> <li>Ensures relevance and compliance of company policies and manuals</li> <li>Ensures Business Continuity</li> <li>Ensures central management and control of documented information</li> <li>Presides over audit findings</li> <li>Maintains an effective Emergency Response Plan (ERP)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requiremments</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum 5 years&rsquo; experience in a Senior Airline Position</li> <li>Relevant degree or any other qualifications</li> <li>Masters Degree in Aviation is an added advantage</li> <li>Strong team leadership skills</li> </ul>
