Head – IT & MIS:
PURPOSE OF JOB – The Head – Group IT&MIS will be responsible for leading the Group’s Information Technology function and building, and managing, the Infrastructure, Technologies, Data and related capabilities that enable effective execution of the Business Strategies and Digital Transformation. The role enables the development of the next generation technologies and platforms that can optimise existing business capabilities as well as enable Digital Transformation. The incumbent shall be mandated with the continuous adaptation of IT processes, frameworks and skill-sets to ongoing changes in Technology and business landscape.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Keep abreast of emerging digital and business trends, develop and execute an IT strategy that takes advantage of these trends, and collaborate with other business leaders to embed IT Capabilities and digital opportunities in business strategy, including the company’s product and channel strategies
- Develops and executes an IT strategy that takes advantage of emerging technologies to contribute to business strategy
- Leverage the group’s Fintech Business transformation and innovation capabilities to develop and optimise the I&T Operating model, develop and evolve the Technology roadmap, refine the IT delivery capability, evolve the IT culture and contribute to organisational change.
- Partner the group’s Fintech Business through building of Digital Business Capabilities, influencing Business Model innovation, development and application of business architecture and managing of the Digital Business platform all aimed at enhancing customer and employee experience.
- Collaborate with other I&T stakeholders within the group in the implementation of industry standards and development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps, to increase responsiveness and growth.
- Partner the group’s Fintech business unit in developing and executing an integration strategy that provides access to data from diverse sources and extends the business to partner and customer ecosystems
- Define enterprise cloud service governance and oversee migration of enterprise applications, platforms and data to cloud solutions
- Manage IT Governance through the development and operation of an IT Governance Framework, develop and evolve the IT Organisational Structure
- Develop and Implement a Technology Strategy that optimises business operations through clear Technology Roadmaps and manage the Technology Lifecycle that drive technology sustainability as well as manage Technology Risk and Security.
- Optimise Technology Operations through constant evolution of the Technology architecture, management of Strategic Technology vendors and external partnerships, leading Infrastructure modernisation, maintaining IT Service Management and development of shared IT Services.
- Oversee Performance of the IT & MIS Division through clearly defining and regularly updating IT Services, determining business outcome-based performance metrics, and measuring and reporting the reliability, performance, security and business of these services, and acting on the measurements for improvement.
- Develop and Manage Talent by developing an IT Workforce Strategy for sourcing internal and external talent as well as development of skills and competencies
- Develop the next generation of IT leaders who are able to build strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to move the business towards digitally enabled growth.
- Oversee IT Finance through preparation and management of IT budgets, performance of financial analysis and champion the prioritisation of IT Investment
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science/Electronics Engineering
- A Masters’ degree is preferred in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration/Strategy Management or other related field
- At least 7 years of professional experience in information systems management at a senior level, with at least 5 years of experience working with executive and board-level personnel
