Key Result Area 1: Responsible for reaching internal broilers set KRAs
Major Activities required in achieving desired output:
- Supervises handover/takeover between shifts
- Visits broiler houses on arrival in morning
- Conducts & supervises weighing of birds randomly
- Receives Mortality Book figures from Nightshift Supervisor
- Conducts post-mortem on random number of birds when mortality rate is above acceptable level
- Communicates with Zimvet if post-mortem results show anomaly
- Ensures that the birds are treated as per Zimvet’s recommendation when needed
- Ensures that staff is following the Production Standards at all time
- Compares present vs past flock results and takes corrective action after communicating with Broiler & Mill Executive
- Ensures compliance to Biosecurity standards and follows up on all audit issues as per GAP Manual
- Conducts bird welfare training when needed
- Conducts trials when instructed
- Creates Capex and annual Broiler Budget annually
- Ensure adherence to budget trough weekly tracking & monthly reporting
- Supervises bird catching to ensure SOPs are being followed

Key Result Area 2: Responsible for site maintenance and H&S standards and compliance with statutory requirements
Major Activities required in achieving desired output:
- Ensures all site buildings and equipment are maintained to Irvine’s standard after each flock and recommend upgrades.
- Conducts site hazard analysis and ensures all control measures are in place to minimise or eliminate hazards
- Conduct H&S meetings for the site each month
- Ensure safety hurdles are done at each shift to create awareness and adherence
- Participates in planning placements, feed deliveries & slaughter for all contract growers with the Broiler Coordinator weekly
