BUSINESS ANALYST

JOB ENTAILS:

A demonstrated ability to collaborate with all department levels to clearly define business needs, recommend innovative solutions and work within an agile team to bring those solutions to fruition. A successful candidate has the ability to solve complex problems, quickly learn company business and understand the technical aspects of software development.

In this role, the Business Analyst will define and prioritize products’ epics and break them down into workable user stories to ensure business needs are met. This individual will use data and metrics to provide work estimates and make recommendations for continuous improvement of our products and team processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis of business and user requirements for software applications.
  • Support the delivery of products and services through coordination of efforts of a cross-functional team of business and development personnel and recommend innovative solutions to meet business user needs.
  • Develop user stories to initiate the development of features to create an envisioned system or coordinate with third party vendors. This will include facilitation and coordination with other business teams, end users, and other IT teams.
  • Consult and assist in explanation of user stories and identification of system dependencies to development teammates and participate throughout the development process to ensure requirements are met.
  • Support business applications in production and coordinate the transition of user support to the production support team.
  • Consult with business team in the development of user documentation and training materials and the coordination of user training sessions.
  • Facilitate sprint ceremonies for team like standups, backlog refinement, sprint review and retros, program increment planning related activities.
  • Coordinate with other teams for risk and dependency resolution.
  • Facilitate the team’s progress towards team goals.

SKILL AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree related to business, finance, or information technology.
  • Experience in corporate bond market is an advantage.
  • Able to participate in an Agile Framework environment using Sprint/Jira processes.
  • Solid working knowledge of institutional banking systems and trading practices and systems.
  • A resourceful self-starter who is comfortable interacting and coordinating with numerous internal and external partners; able to work effectively on a consistent basis with minimal supervision.
  • Strong and proactive communicator.
  • Ability to deliver under tight deadlines and manage time appropriately.
  • Ability to articulate both business and product issues in writing as well as verbally.
  • Ability to quickly understand new concepts and adapt accordingly.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through managing multiple tasks and project deliverables in a deadline driven environment.
  • A willingness to be flexible, prioritizing problems that are most pressing and using the most appropriate tools.
