Evaluating and monitoring plan profitability and financial performance in line with health industry guidelines and management targets annually
Performing all tax related planning to minimize the tax burden of the company.
Designing and executing investment strategy in line with shareholder objectives in keeping with the health industry guidelines and sources and application of funds
Executing financial strategy in support of annual corporate strategic priorities
Coordinating and finalizing internal audit review queries before sign off.
Coordinating the Health Services annual external audits from end to end.
Consolidating financial information from all sites across the country into a monthly reporting pack.
Ensuring accurate and timely production of all financial information from all sites.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulation relating to the health services industry.
Presenting financial reports to higher management.
Ensuring the integrity of accounting information by verifying, allocating, posting and entering transactions.
Monitoring budgets against actual performance and reporting major variances.
Co-ordination of budget variation process.
Co-ordination of monthly and annual site stock takes for medical centres and pharmacies.
Playing an oversight role in ensuring that all debtors’ reconciliations are prepared and remittance advises from Medical Aid societies are captured correctly.
Engagement with key stakeholders such as debtors, suppliers and regulators to manage the financial obligations attributable to either party.
Qualifications:
Degree in Accounting
A professional qualification is an added advantage e.g. CA, CIMA, ACCA etc.
At least 4 years’ experience in a similar or related environment.
