Responsibilities
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) –
â— Manage the health and safety of all employees and equipment through implementation of Safe Systems of Work and Group Standards and Advisories.
â— Putting in place systems to ensure, Risk Assessments are provided prior to all work activities.
â— Ensuring that incident reporting indicators are carried out as prescribed in agreed Key Performance Indicators.
â— Leading Root Cause Analyses for reported safety incidents, ensure lessons learnt are communicated and actions raised are closed timely.
â— Ensuring that action items raised through audits and inspections are carried in accordance with the agreed action plan.
Business Code Of Conduct
To comply with the requirements stipulated in the company code of business conduct.
Internal control compliance
To comply with applicable internal control standards and responsibilities ensuring that prescribed standards are designed and operating effectively.
TECHNICAL
· Set and share Maintenance Department long, medium and short term goals and objectives in line with plant objectives.
· Define, follow-up and optimize Maintenance expenses.
· Manage the performance of the maintenance department including effective use of key performance indicators.
· Ensure adoption and adherence to set standards, norms and best practices
MANAGEMENT
· Induct new employees using the respective section’s induction program.
· Monitor the development of potentials and, through Individual Development Plans, propose training for the team in order to optimise their skills.
· Build and facilitate training courses inside and outside the plant.
· Manage the performance of the maintenance department including effective use of key performance indicators.
· Create and maintain a motivating work environment within the Maintenance department
Qualifications & Experience
B.Sc. Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Electrical or related field
Ten years’ experience in maintenance, inspection, technical centres, new works (running projects)
