Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Engages, inspires and galvanise the organisation around the brand vision, position and strategies, so they are clear in bringing them to life in their areas of functional expertise.
  • Leads the global brand planning process by developing and executing the annual brand/marketing plan
  • Stewards the brand to support the brand promise, vision, position, architecture and achieve overall business goals.
  • Develops growth targets, business objectives and brand strategies for the brand that aligns with global business & marketing plans.
  • Develops communication and promotional strategies, together with trade spending plans and media goals for the organisation
  • Executes packaging designs consistent with a determined communications hierarchy
  • Leads and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute innovation platform pathways, product innovation and renovation.
  • Conducts customer discovery and insights/pain points gathering to inform the design and development of brand strategies for the organisation.
  • Analyses consumer, channel, customer and competitor trends and information to help identify product categories to enter as future sources of growth.
  • Works with Commercial teams to identify and roll out programmes to generate incremental sales and/or profitability.
  • Manages budgets and financials related to marketing campaigns.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A B-Com Marketing degree or equivalent; MBA will be an added advantage
  • 5 years brand management experience in an FMCG environment
