MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
To carry out quantity surveying services under the direction of the Partners and Supervisors and to train as a Quantity Surveyor. A Quantity Surveyor’s role includes offering expert advice on all commercial aspects of construction or property developments including management of costs and contractual matters.
KEY TASKS AND DUTIES
- Typically, the surveyor, under the direction of the Partners and the Senior Associates, or
- other designated supervisor, will be expected to assist with the following duties:
- Estimating and cost planning
- Procurement advice
- Tender document preparation
- Tender reporting
- Contract administration and cost control
- Interim valuations
- Cost reporting
- Final account preparation,
- Contract and dispute advice
- Carrying out Employer’s Agent / Contract Administrator / Project Manager
- duties.
- Appointment and co-ordination of other consultants
- To attend meetings and undertake site visits.

- Tasks will be allocated to reflect increasing levels of development and experience.
Academic Qualifications
- Minimum Academic Requirements – BSc Hons Quantity Surveying with a 2:1
- No prior experience.
