Duties and Responsibilities
\r\n\r\nProvides legal advice to management.
\r\n\r\nUtilizing effective recovery strategies to recover money on assigned NPLs and Written off accounts.
\r\n\r\nComply with statutory, regulatory and supervisory requirements to protect the reputation of the organisation and avoid legal action in respect of regulatory compliance matters.
\r\n\r\nCoordinate the collection of information from lawyers required by external auditors
\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Qualifications and Attributes
\r\n\r\nBachelor of Law Honours Degree
\r\n\r\nMinimum of 5 years’ experience of legal experience at a private practice or an in-house legal department.
\r\n\r\nKnowledge and understanding of the laws, processes and documentation about foreclosures.
\r\n\r\nAbility to deal firmly and decisively with delinquent borrowers.
\r\n\r\nShould understand legal consequences of recovery and collection activities and thorough grasp of Banking law and Practice.
\r\n\r\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
\r\n\r\nFinancial literacy is essential.
