Overal Job Purpose

 

Responsible for the maintenance and implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework including, risk identification, risk measurement and risk control.



Responsibilities

• Draw up an annual  risk assessment plan for review and approval by Head of Department (HOD)


• Undertake periodic reviews of the Enterprise Risk  Management framework including the operational risk policy and procedure manual and make recommendations for enhancements


• Undertake periodical operational risk assessments to identify potential and existing risks and recommend corrective action


• Carry out checks of the various operations to assess compliance with policies and procedures and recommend corrective action


• Undertake periodic reviews of various operations to check compliance with principles of internal controls notably segregation of duties


• Review various operations to assess adherence with Service Level Agreements (SLAs?


• Review the level of credit risk management and recommend corrective action


• Review and assess compliance risk and recommend corrective action


• Review and identify potential areas of revenue leakages and recommend corrective action


• Review the effectiveness of customer management processes and recommend ways to address identified weaknesses


• Review adequacy of work process flows and recommend ways to strengthen the controls


• Review policies and procedure manuals and make recommend to enhance adequacy and enhance effectiveness


• Facilitate documentation and communication of policies and procedure manuals


• Review implementation of projects and make recommendations to close identified gaps and weaknesses in the implementation process


• Review effectiveness of Business Continuity Tests that are conducted by the various departments and make recommendations for improvements


• Maintain close liaison with departmental risk and compliance champions  for effective management of operational and compliance risk

QUALIFICATIONS&EXPERIENCE

Degree in Risk Management/Banking and Finannce/Business Studies

3 years experience
