Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To effectively run and manage the IT department.
- Develop and implement short, medium and long term computerisation strategies.
- Analyse business processes and recommend and source the right system(s) for the group.
- Ensure all ICT systems are operating to optimum levels all times.
- Formulate and implement ICT policy for the company.
- Formulate and implement ICT security controls throughout the branches of the company.
- Advise top management on future ICT direction.
- Setup goals and objectives for the team and individuals
- Interact with internal clients at all levels to help resolve ICT related issues and provide solutions timeously.
- Recruit, develop and manage subordinates.
- Implementation and support of Social Media platforms
- Ensuring that Network down time is at minimal level at all times.
- Provision of Website, Newsletter and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) functions.
- Providing Technical support to all end users.
- Liaising with upstream and external service providers for all services required.
- Performing Disaster recovery functions for the company. This mainly entails conducting backup procedures and mitigation of data loss.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Computer studies. Second degree or Masters in Business Administration is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Windows, LINUX, UNIX, NOVEL etc operating system is important.
- 5 years in similar position is required.
- Experience in systems analysis and design is mandatory.
- Experience in Project Management is an added advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are prerequisite.
