Construction Manager

<p>Main Duties</p> <ul> <li>Oversee and direct construction projects</li> <li>Direct and control the staff of the Construction Department to ensure that they are appropriately trained and motivated to carry out their responsibilities to the required standards.</li> <li>Plan construction projects and oversee their progress along the way in a timely and cost effective manner.</li> <li>Oversee all onsite and offsite construction projects and monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.</li> <li>Motivate staff by demonstrating an inclusive approach to involving everyone in decisions that affect them.</li> <li>Prepare, monitor and control the budget for the Construction Department to ensure optimum use of resources and that all necessary financial controls are in place to comply with the Company&rsquo;s regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Personally contribute and work with others to achieve outstanding quality construction and exceptional delivery of customer service.</li> <li>Meet contractual conditions of performance</li> <li>Review work progress on daily basis</li> <li>Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones</li> <li>Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licences</li> <li>Create and maintain relations with suppliers and customers</li> <li>Select tools, material and equipment and track inventory</li> <li>Monitor feedback from customers to measure their satisfaction with final products.</li> <li>Monitor efficiencies and identify areas for improvement.</li> <li>Conduct performance appraisals for staff.</li> <li>Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.</li> <li>Ensure adherence to health and safety standards</li> <li>Any other related duties as assigned by Superior</li> </ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>BSc degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related field</li> <li>At least 5 years at managerial level</li> </ul>
