Transport Manager

Main Duties:

Human Resources and Development

• Facilitates de-briefs and brief meetings with drivers on trip turn-around and fuel consumption.
• Manages drivers’ leave days.
• Ensures the bonus scheme system produces desired results for the company.
• Ensure that each Driver has a signed TOR and scorecard and that they understand the expectations.

Route Management and Proper Utilisation of Transport Resources

• Manages costs
• Ensures 100% distribution vehicle availability on the routes.
• Ensures that all trucks depart the destined departure points on time (100% departure compliance).

Customer Satisfaction

• Attends weekly meetings.
• Ensures signing off of km and routes done by trucks.

Health and Safety

• Ensures that work is carried out in a safe manner by complying with all company safety policies, practices, and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bsc in Transport and Logistics
• At least 2 years experience
