MAINTENANCE MANAGER

RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li class="ql-align-justify">Formulating maintenance programmes in accordance with world class operations practices and implementation thereof</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Ensuring high plant equipment availability and reliability at all times.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Scheduling and managing all CAPEX projects and coordinating the implementation thereof timeously and cost effectively.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Installing, commissioning, modification, and optimization of plant equipment.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Drawing the engineering budget, ensuring effective implementation, and controlling expenditure.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Regular communication with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting plant, equipment, and machinery, including corrective interventions.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Creating, controlling, enforcing, and monitoring engineering Standard operating procedures.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Developing technical solutions to production challenges related to high waste generation, high production cost, and frequent equipment downtime.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Developing and implementing appropriate training and development plans for engineering staff.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Coaching, mentoring and developing maintenance team to meet business objectives.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Ensuring that all engineering processes and staff adhere to the company’s food safety policies and procedures.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Ensuring compliance with Factories Act and all other relevant statutes.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Implementing and reviewing subordinate performance in line with the organisation’s performance management system.&nbsp;</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Paying special attention to the spin chiller, pre-chiller, spiral freezer, blast freezers. Cold rooms, Gyro, render plant, and ensuring that these are all operating at the rated capacities at all times.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Ensuring that the steam boilers are always up to date with statutory requirements and are operating at the rated throughputs.</li></ul>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;THE PERSON&nbsp;The ideal applicant should possess the following minimum qualifications and attributes:<ul><li class="ql-align-justify">A first Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in Food Manufacturing.</li></ul>
