Summary of the Job
The job exists to ensure maximum plant availability for a big processing plant running 24 hours a day.
Key deliverables
- Designing and implementation of new projects
- Planning, and implementation of both CAPEX and OPEX budgets
- Leading teams’ performance and talent pipeline
- Designing and implementation of maintenance plans
- Management of health and safety and quality programs
Experience Required
- 10 years’ post qualification experience in a mid-level to senior Engineering management role in a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience managing new projects
- Experience with Capex and Opex planning and implementation
- Experience leading a multi-talented team of qualified and experienced Managers.
- Experience supervising all Engineering projects i.e. Electrical, Mechanical and Civils
Job Knowledge & Skills required
- Proven planning and organisational skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of modern manufacturing systems
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering at 2.1 or better
- Post Engineering qualification
- MBA is an added advantage
NB: Exposure to a concentrator or processing organisation is a must
