Risk Officer

Overall Job Purpose

• Develops and implements risk policies and procedures that align with the organization’s goals and objectives
• Develops and updates checklists and registers to identify, measure, monitor, and control risk exposures.
• Carries out dipstick assessments in all departments in preparation for Audit/ Regulatory inspections
• Analyses internal audit, fraud and loss reports, and incident reports to establish trends and recommend initiatives to mitigate risks identified.
• Compiles risk reports on both internal and external developments and submits them to the CEO.
• Takes a leading role in risk management processes involved in the development of new products and services, systems, and processes.
• Provides advisory and consulting services to the TIMB Board and Management
• Appraises the Risk Management Committee of the Board of progress every quarter
• Provides feedback to the Risk Management Committee on the effectiveness of the Risk management department.
• Reviews the risk management processes and align with prevailing local and international risk management standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Risk Management/Finance/Business Management
• 5 years’ relevant experience in a Risk Management or related position.
