Transport and Logistics Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor logistics and transport operations (inbound & outbound) to ensure efficient delivery schedules and optimal inventory levels.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies tailored to FMCG and manufacturing requirements.
• Supervise and manage a team of drivers, warehouse staff, and logistics coordinators.
• Oversee fleet management, vehicle maintenance, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with transporters, suppliers, and third-party logistics providers.
• Monitor logistics performance through KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement in cost, service, and quality.
• Coordinate with production, sales, and procurement departments to align supply chain activities.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with all statutory and company policies.
• Resolve transportation and logistics issues promptly to minimize disruptions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the FMCG and/or manufacturing sectors.
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes, inventory management, and route optimization.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
