Boiler House Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities

•  Directly responsible for the coordination and supervision of all boiler operations and activities.
• Checks daily logs to determine proper operation of equipment.
• Prepares daily and monthly reports of boiler resources usage and efficiencies.
•  Makes estimates of labor and or materials required for production and maintenance.
• Directly responsible for critical spares and raising requisitions. 
• Identifies staff development and recommends training needs.
• Ensures compliance to company and government regulating policies and procedures.
•  Ensures a safe and healthy working environment at all times.
• Knowledge of boiler plant and auxiliary systems operations.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems in steam distribution systems.

Qualifications and Experience

•  Five ‘O’ level passes including Mathematics and English at Grade B or better.
•  Apprenticeship trained class 1.
• Technical training in Steam Generation and Distribution required. (Boiler Operator Certificate)
• At least 5 years’ practical relevant experience in steam generation
•   A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory position.
