Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of all statutory tax returns (on TARMS and other platforms) to ZIMRA.
- Liaise with ZIMRA on audits, assessments, and tax-related queries
- Develop, design, and maintain templates to be used by business units for the completion of tax returns.
- Monitor and manage the group’s tax obligations to ensure full compliance.
- Follow up with Treasury to ensure all tax payments are processed and remitted on time.
- Provide advisory support to management on tax matters, legislative updates, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate tax records and documentation for internal and external audits.
Qualifications, Skills and Competencies
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Tax-specific certifications are highly preferred, including: ZIMRA Tax Practitioners Certificate / ZIMRA TARMS Certification.
- At least 3 years’ experience in tax compliance, preferably in a group or fast-paced corporate environment.
- Solid knowledge of Zimbabwean tax laws, ZIMRA procedures, and the TARMS platform.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
