Key Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of all statutory tax returns (on TARMS and other platforms) to ZIMRA.
  • Liaise with ZIMRA on audits, assessments, and tax-related queries
  • Develop, design, and maintain templates to be used by business units for the completion of tax returns.
  • Monitor and manage the group’s tax obligations to ensure full compliance.
  • Follow up with Treasury to ensure all tax payments are processed and remitted on time.
  • Provide advisory support to management on tax matters, legislative updates, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate tax records and documentation for internal and external audits.

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies

 

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Tax-specific certifications are highly preferred, including: ZIMRA Tax Practitioners Certificate / ZIMRA TARMS Certification.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in tax compliance, preferably in a group or fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Solid knowledge of Zimbabwean tax laws, ZIMRA procedures, and the TARMS platform.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
