<p><strong>Overall Job Purpose:</strong></p> <ul> <li>To perform effective risk management and plan the organisation&rsquo;s financial strategy.</li> <li>To protect the company&rsquo;s revenues and profits to achieve full financial control and sustainable growth</li> <li>Plan, develop and direct the implementation ofpolicies and management of the execution of all support divisions (direct reports) which include, Finance and Administration, Information and Technology and Banking operations</li> <li>Promoting Financial Inclusion through development and wide distribution of appropriate and fairly priced (affordable and accessible) products and services</li> </ul> <p><strong>Principal Accountabilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Drive the bank&rsquo;s financial planning, budgeting, controlling and reporting processes</li> <li>Establish the bank&rsquo;s accounting and finance policy and ensure proper implementation</li> <li>Ensure the achievement of the set budgets and targets</li> <li>Perform risk management by analysing the organization&rsquo;s liabilities and investments</li> <li>Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks</li> <li>Provide overall leadership to the ICT team and ensure that the office has reliable, sufficient connectivity and the organization&rsquo;s information systems and that information resource are adequately protected.</li> <li>Ensure improved office/programs connectivity</li> <li>Facilitate and ensure preparation of and adherence to computer usage policies</li> <li>Ensure office disaster preparedness and policies updated to include new technologies, trends and threats.</li> <li>Control and evaluate the organization&rsquo;s fundraising plans and capital expenditure</li> <li>Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization&rsquo;s operations</li> <li>Supervising all finance personnel (controllers, treasurers, financial analysts etc.)</li> <li>Manage vendor relationships</li> <li>Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports</li> <li>Setup and oversee the company&rsquo;s finance IT system</li> <li>Ensure compliance with the law and company&rsquo;s policies</li> <li>Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify needs and seek full range of business</li> </ul> <p><strong>Academic and Professional Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Accountancy degree and professional qualification (CA, CIMA or ACCA)</li> <li>Master&rsquo;s degree in business administration , leadership or Finance is an added advantage</li> <li>A minimum of 7 years&rsquo; experience at Management level ofwhich at leasttwo years must be as Chief Finance Officerpreferably within the Financial services sector</li> </ul> <p><strong>Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proven experience as a Chief Finance Officer</li> <li>In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices</li> <li>Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods</li> <li>An analytical mind and comfortable with numbers</li> <li>Proficient in the use of MS Office and financials management software (e.g. SAP)</li> <li>Ability to strategize and solve problems</li> <li>Strong leadership and organizational skills</li> <li>Strong presentation skills</li> <li>Strong crisis management skills</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Good negotiation skills</li> <li>Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines</li> </ul>
