<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p>•Formulating strategy and giving direction and leadership to television, news, and current affairs.</p> <p>•Defining news, television & current affairs' overall editorial and strategic direction.</p> <p>•Ensuring that content for television and news meets the required standards.</p> <p>•Accountable for news & current affairs performance against strategic objectives and metrics as set out in the annual plan.</p> <p>•Ensuring compliance with broadcasting policies and statutory provisions on news coverage.</p> <p>•Providing editorial and creative leadership and inspiration to news, television & current affairs to enhance its services' strength, depth, and quality.</p> <p>•Formulating strategies that contribute to the overall success of the organization.</p> <p>•Ensuring robust, documented business continuity and risk management processes are in place.</p> <p>•Creating an environment that attracts the most creative and diverse staff.</p> <p>•Implementing strategies to understand audience requirements and action plans to meet them.</p> <p>•Infusing digital technology trends in leading the Division.</p> <p><strong>Qualifications </strong><strong>and Experience:</strong></p> <p>•BSc in Journalism/Communication or Broadcasting</p> <p>•At least 10 years of relevant experience, of which 5 must have been at the managerial level .</p> <p>•A master’s degree in a related field is an added advantage</p>
