Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receiving enquiries for procurement needs from Customers
  • Collection/receiving of purchased goods from suppliers
  • Ensuring safe storage of goods awaiting shipment to Zimbabwe
  • Managing and coordinating consolidations of goods from different suppliers where necessary before shipment
  • General office administration
  • Identifying competent and reliable transporters for accreditation and approval by management
  • Coordinate transportation of goods with transporters from South Africa to Zimbabwe to ensure delivery on schedule
  • Identifying of competent clearing agents for accreditation and approval by management
  • Liaison with clearing agents on the clearing of consignments from South Africa to Zimbabwe

Qualifications

  • Degree in logistics
  • A Business studies qualification
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid South African Permit
  • At least 8 years post qualification in logistics, freight and forwarding
