Finance Manager

<p><strong>Overall Job Purpose</strong></p> <p>The Finance Manager will be a qualified chartered accountant and will manage all aspects of the finance function. S/he will ensure that income and expenditure are properly managed and financial controls are in place and adhered to</p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist the Head of Corporate Services with financial strategy and financial projections.</li> <li>Prepare annual budgets and monitor individual unit budgets on an on-going basis, ensuring adequate controls are in place.</li> <li>Provide analysis and explanation of variances of key financial data for presentation to</li> </ul> <p>senior management team and Finance Committee</p> <ul> <li>Oversee accounts receivable and payable functions and manage workload of other finance staff, including outsourced service providers.</li> <li>Manage claims for operational and capital funding drawdown and ensure proper cash flow management.</li> <li>Prepare and update service level agreements as necessary.</li> <li>Act as secretary to the Audit Risk and the Finance Committee.</li> <li>Ensure finances are dealt with according to current legislation, policies and procedures and best practise corporate financial standards</li> </ul> <p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS&amp; EXPERIENCE</strong></p> <ul> <li>BSC in Accounting/Finance</li> <li>At least 5 years experience of which 2 years must have been at managerial level</li> <li>Must be a CA</li> <li>Must have a valid South African permanent residence</li> </ul>
