Finance Manager

Overall Job Purpose

The Finance Manager will be a qualified chartered accountant and will manage all aspects of the finance function. S/he will ensure that income and expenditure are properly managed and financial controls are in place and adhered to

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Head of Corporate Services with financial strategy and financial projections.
• Prepare annual budgets and monitor individual unit budgets on an on-going basis, ensuring adequate controls are in place.
• Provide analysis and explanation of variances of key financial data for presentation to

senior management team and Finance Committee

• Oversee accounts receivable and payable functions and manage workload of other finance staff, including outsourced service providers.
• Manage claims for operational and capital funding drawdown and ensure proper cash flow management.
• Prepare and update service level agreements as necessary.
• Act as secretary to the Audit Risk and the Finance Committee.
• Ensure finances are dealt with according to current legislation, policies and procedures and best practise corporate financial standards

QUALIFICATIONS& EXPERIENCE

• BSC in Accounting/Finance
• At least 5 years experience of which 2 years must have been at managerial level
• Must be a CA
• Must have a valid South African permanent residence
