<p><strong>Senior Systems Analyst</strong></p> <p>Our Client seeks to hire a suitably qualified and experienced person to fill a vacancy that has risen within our organisation.</p> <p>The Senior Systems Analyst shall be responsible for defining and assessing business requirements to find technical solutions to meet business challenges. The incumbent must assess business requirements and determine the impact on infrastructure and application components.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ol> <li>Develops project plan, timetable and estimated budget as well as allocates resources to meet go live deadlines.</li> <li>Provides system testing guidelines, quality control and monitors project expenditure.</li> <li>Monitors the application of system patches as may be instructed by vendors.</li> <li>Prepares weekly reports on system status to the Senior Management IS Support.</li> <li>Negotiates and reviews service level agreements with users and suppliers.</li> <li>Analyse impact or risk of new projects.</li> <li>Determine, develop and deploy interfacing required between sub systems.</li> <li>Assist in the information technology policy and budgetary preparations.</li> <li>Ensures that system backups are done and disaster occurrences are minimised, monitored and mitigated.</li> <li>Reviews disaster preparedness plans and test them for effectiveness and robustness.</li> <li>Plans for ongoing upgrades to systems to maintain business continuity.</li> </ol> <p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Electronic Engineering.</li> <li>Banking applications installation and support experience.</li> <li>At least a certification in Networking, Database Administration, Operating Systems, Programming, Project management.</li> <li>At least 3 years&rsquo; experience as a Systems Analyst or Senior Systems Analyst.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills &amp; Competences</strong></p> <ul> <li>Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills</li> <li>Good planning and organisational skills</li> <li>Ability to make sound, goal driven decisions</li> <li>Team player</li> <li>Extensive and relevant technical skills.</li> </ul>
