Overall Job Purpose
The Director of Airport Operations is responsible for providing efficient and secure airport services, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, and contributing to the overall growth and success of ACZ.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participates in planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes to operate within the targeted budget and achieve financial objectives.
- Establishes policies and procedures for airport operations.
- Leads and develops a high-performing airport operations team through training, coaching, and succession planning.
- Monitors international trends relating to airports, including airport economy, security, and passenger facilitation, and advises management as appropriate.
- Ensures the development and maintenance of airport infrastructure is of the highest standard and is as provided for in the business plan and budget.
- Ensures compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Implements emergency response plans and crisis management strategies.
- Grows revenues from airport operations to meet shareholders' expectations.
- Advises the CEO and Management on airport operations to deliver high-quality services.
- Implements the performance management system to ensure that the department's required standards and capacity utilization are achieved.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management or Business Administration.
- The ideal candidate must have a Master’s degree in Business Management, Administration, Leadership, or any aviation-related degree.
- Additional certifications or training in airport management, and aviation security.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in airport operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
