Responsibilities:
· Oversee daily operations of the Plant and Equipment workshop.
· Managing the Plant and Equipment personnel assigning tasks and ensuring efficient workflow.
· Overseeing equipment, tools, and materials, ensuring proper plant and equipment maintenance and availability.
· Implementing and maintaining quality standards for all repairs and services.
· Budgeting, cost analysis and control, and inventory management.
· Liaison with stores and procurement departments to ensure supply chain is maintained.
· Communication with project sites to ensure plant and equipment requirements are met.
· Providing plant and equipment maintenance management support across all project sites to ensure the required level of availability.
· Implementing and enforcing safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment.
· Keeping up with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices.
· Addressing technical challenges and finding solutions to operational issues.
Training and mentoring of apprentices and artisans.
Qualifications:
· Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent with 10 years’ experience in a maintenance management environment and minimum of 5 years' experience at Workshop Manager level; OR Relevant technical diploma, or Appy trained diesel plant fitter, minimum of 15 years' experience in a maintenance management environment with a minimum of 5 years' experience at Workshop Manager level.
· Must have experience with maintenance management of a large fleet of construction plant and equipment.
· Good financial acumen

· Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
