Primary Duties & Responsibilities
1. SHT Workshop Management & Operations
- Oversee daily SHT operations at head office and project sites levels.
- Ensure proper receipt, inspection, storage, and issuing of SHT items.
- Develop and enforce SHT policies, procedures, and internal controls.
2. Inventory & Asset Control
- Maintain accurate records of stock balances, movements, and valuations.
- Monitor critical stock levels and initiate replenishment where necessary.
- Conduct periodic stock counts and audits; reconcile any variances.
3. Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise SHT Clerks, and General hands.
- Allocate tasks, set performance standards, and monitor outputs.
- Train and mentor staff on systems, procedures, and compliance.
4. Cost & Resource Management
- Monitor usage and wastage to support cost-control initiatives.
- Recommend disposal of obsolete or damaged items.
- Ensure cost-effective procurement in collaboration with Procurement and Finance.
5. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare accurate and timely reports on balances, usage trends, and variances.
- Support both internal and external audits with required documentation.
- Submit monthly management reports on store and trading performance.
6. Compliance & Safety
- Enforce SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality) standards in the SHT operations.
- Ensure secure and compliant storage facilities.
- Maintain stores records in line with company and statutory requirements.
7. Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Procurement teams on material needs.
- Coordinate with Finance for reconciliations and stock valuations.
- Engage suppliers and Plant and Transport department for deliveries and logistics.
Decision-Making Authority
- Authorizes sales and release of approved second-hand items.
- Determines allocation of manpower across yard, sales, and administrative functions.
- Recommends pricing adjustments, disposal, or repair of reusable equipment.
- Approves stock reports and reconciliations submitted by supervisors.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Diploma in Business Administration
- Experience: Minimum 4 years in administrative role or inventory tracking operations.
