Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the position of Treasurer.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish policies, procedures and controls for treasury unit, which meet minimum requirements of the Company and regulatory authorities.
- Plan, organize, direct and control all treasury unit activities and resources in order to meet the unit’s objectives
- Formulating and implementing investment strategies and monitoring the strategies put in place on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis with a view of assessing progress towards achieving the set targets
- Establishing accounting policies for treasury products and ensuring that correct accounting and processing of all deals is done so that the correct records are maintained
- Assess, analyse, define, recommend, implement and follow up market intelligence, and marketing plans in order to meet the treasury unit’s objectives
- Develop risk management and prevention strategies to mitigate risk of financial loss; put in place adequate policies and controls to avoid losses and fraud.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Investments, Economics or equivalent
- Masters’ Degree and any other post graduate relevant qualifications will be an added advantage
- 4 Years’ Experience in a Treasury environment- ability to mobilise deposits and generate revenue to meet targets set for the treasury unit.
- Good analytical, communication, conceptual thinking, report writing and networking skills
